A Bit About Me
I have always been a bit of a novice news consumer until recently. This changed when I took a class on journalism, it opened my eyes to the world of news and reporting. After a while of consuming news on a daily basis, I started to see a trend that I didn't really enjoy. Every time I would open a news site or their social media all I would see was a tragedy. The more I viewed the news the more I found myself getting more and more depressed. So the idea of compiling happy feel-good news stories from different news organizations into a single site came to mind. All stories and their credit belong to the news sites and reporters, I just wanted to create a place where people could hop on see some good in the world and move on without being bogged down by tragedy. I understand the reasoning why these sites cover so much tragedy and heartache, we as a society thrive on it. I know not everyone feels this way but it's the catchy headlines that get the clicks. More clicks mean more ad revenue and they can make more money. Here at Feel Good News, the only thing we care about is making our fellow people see that no matter what is going on in the world or your day-to-day life, there is still so much good every day.
